DONGWHA Pharmaceuticals Research Institute, located in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province with a total size of 22,287㎡, is the nation’s best pharmaceutical research institute that has been played a pivotal role in spearheading DONGWHA's commitments to drug development.
Established in 1973, the institute opened an independent research building in the company’s Anyang Plant in 1985, and has attracted top researchers to develop innovative products and laid the foundation for DONGWHA's capability on drug development. In 1992, it added an animal testing facility, and further recruited R&D talent as a part of its ongoing efforts to develop new compounds and drugs. In May 2010, DONGWHA completed and moved into a new state-of-the-art research center in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province, taking its research capabilities to a higher level for the future, and renewing its commitment to development of new products and innovative drugs.

DONGWHA Pharmaceuticals has completed building an international standard cGMP plant in Chungju, North Chungcheong Province. The plant with a total size of 82,500m² is the largest pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Korea.
The new plant located in the Cheongju Industrial Complex has a total area of 82,500m² and total floor space of 52,800㎡, including one basement level and four stories high. In addition, it has in place an array of equipment and systems to meet cGMP standards, the Current Good Manufacturing Practice encoded by US FDA. With the state-of-the-art automated production system at the plan, DONGWHA can now compete shoulder to shoulder with major global pharmaceutical companies. DONGWHA aims to achieve an impeccable and independent quality control system throughout the complete manufacturing process, from material purchase and production to packaging and shipping. To date, the plant has been seen as the nation’s largest pharmaceutical manufacturing facility.
